During her domestic playing career she won the CONMEBOL Women's Libertadores (2009 and 2010), the Women's Brazil Cup (2008 and 2009) and the Women's Paulista Championship (2010).
Though she has now retired from playing, her career in football has continued, and she is currently the Competitions Manager for the Brazilian FA (CBF). Prior to taking on this role, she was Coordinator of Women's Competitions at the CBF, and also served as Women's Football Director for the São Paulo Football Federation. She combines her current role with being a CONMEBOL Ambassador, and has been a FIFA Legends Representative since September 2018.
Aline has high expectations for this tournament and is looking forward to experiencing a Women’s World Cup as a member of the Technical Study Group.
“With my experience as a former player and former coach, I am looking forward to watching the games through those lenses. I’m interested in the tactical, technical and physical aspects of the games both for the teams as a group but also for the players individually,” she said.
“I am also keen to see any differences in approaches to the tactical, technical and physical development of the matches and the athletes from the different confederations (UEFA/CAF/AFC/OFC/CONMEBOL). The level of analysis and data available to us now is far higher than ever before and I am really interested to see how the women’s game looks globally after we complete this analysis. I think it will bring very valuable information to everyone in the women’s game and will really help with player and coach development across the world,” she explained.
Aline will be based in Wellington, New Zealand, and she will attend and observe all the matches in that city.
